The writer complains that the addressee has not written any letters since leaving Maraghah; the writer has gone through difficult times during which he expected caring letters from the addressee and his family, but the addressee must have been very busy; since then, the writer has learned about the addressee's whereabouts and about his job at the registry office of Tabriz. He asks for frequent letters and sends greetings on behalf of his nieces and nephews, as well as his children, Amir and Ibrahim; he also sends special greetings to Sarkar ‘Illiyah ‘Aliyah Khanum and the respected brothers.

‘Amid Lashkar to Mirza Abu Turab Khan
‘Amid Lashkar expresses his concerns about not receiving any letters from Mirza Abu Turab Khan, Mirza Mahdi Khan (Abu Turab Khan's uncle), or Mirza Fazl Allah Khan (son of Hakim Bashi), expecting them to write about their well-being, Abu Turab Khan's mother, and household news. He also asks Mirza Mahdi Khan to write about himself and supervise Abu Turab Khan's studies and inquires about Bayram, Muhammad Quli and Muhammad ‘Ali. ‘Amid Lashkar's seal is on verso.

Letter by Mahdi Ibn ‘Ali' [probably Muntasir Lashkar] to his nephew, announcing that he received all of the official rights and titles of his late father and that the writer has been appointed pay master.
